Charlie's Garden

Charlie's Garden Group Shot May 18

When the student council asked the pupils back in 2016 if they could have one thing at Maplesden Noakes School what would it be, the response was unanimous – a nice place to sit outside.  Having tragically lost a classmate in the same year they decided to create a memorial garden where everyone could sit and enjoy the outdoors whilst remembering Charlie Girling.

The school council, run by 14 students in Years 8 – 11, drew up a garden design and pitched it to the Leadership Team which was approved but only if they were able to raise the £12,000 themselves. Find out how we were able to help them achieve their goal in our latest Golding Vision Blog
