The Mason Mile, with support from Golding Vision, the community arm of Golding Homes, and Wellbeing People, will be fundraising for the BBC Children in Need with a special event on Heather House Field, Bicknor Road in Park Wood, Maidstone on Friday 16 November.

If you are not already part of a Pudsey challenge, or just want to be involved in more than one Children in Need event, The Mason Mile will be held between 10am and 4pm and is open for all the family to attend.

The Mason Mile foundation will donate money for every under 13 who completes the run, and anyone over 13 can donate to Children in Need.  The target is to raise over £5,000 with formal runs taking place on the hour, every hour, throughout the day.  Or you can just come along when you want and walk, jog or complete a mile to be part of the fundraising.

The Mason Mile is a series of free family events, paid for by the Mason Foundation and its sponsors, based around a simple challenge ‘can you jog a mile in 10 minutes’.  Any Mason Mile event is open to all ages and abilities, with allowances for disability. The Mason mile encourages family well-being to start at a young age by promoting the fun initiative of completing a mile, whether it’s completed by a walk, jog or run.

For each under 13 child attending, the Mason Mile will donate between £2 and 50p, dependant on completion time. Adults and children over the age of 13 are encouraged to make a small donation to the BBC Children in Need collectors, who will be located around the event.

The event will take part throughout the day, from 10am until 4pm, with a total of 6 runs on the hour.
