Artwork by pupils adds colour to hoarding at Shepway Regeneration site

Pupils and adults in front of hoaring featuring artwork

What makes a community? We asked children at five local primary schools to create artwork showing what community means to them to brighten up the hoarding at our regeneration site in Shepway.

Pupils from Park Way Primary, Senacre Wood Primary, Molehill Primary Academy,  St Martin’s and Greenfields Community Primary, explored the themes of neighbours, love, family, friendship, and environment

Senacre Wood Primary School’s artwork was on the theme of ‘Love.’  Pupil Grace, took inspiration from the Pride flag which she chose because it ‘…represents that you can be anything you want and love anyone you want.”

We’re investing in the Cambridge Crescent area of Shepway to deliver 236 new high-quality, affordable, energy-efficient homes. With our development partner Skillcrown, we want to work with the community to deliver this exciting vision for the area. The artwork on the hoarding around the current site is a great way for local young people to help personalise and brighten this space.
