Let’s get talking - free mental health training
We’ve all felt the pressure over the last year, that’s why at Golding Homes we’re keen to continue to support our customers with mental health advice, available from some of our excellent partners.
One of those partners is Changing Minds Kent CIC , who this month have launched the ‘Let’s Talk Project’ - a new programme aimed at educating and training people on the importance of mental health and wellbeing. The project is looking for local community champions who are passionate about their community and helping others and thanks to our funding, they have 30 spaces available to our customers.
This training is FREE to you and will provide the skills and knowledge to help support others that may be experiencing poor mental health. You will learn how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue. You’ll also learn how to empower someone to access the support they might need.
Colin Rouse, Director of Growth and Development at Changing Minds Kent CIC said:
“It’s fantastic to be working with Golding Homes to offer mental health awareness training for their customers. In the last 12 months we’ve trained over 200 people giving them the skills, confidence, and tools to support anyone experiencing poor mental health.
“The course would benefit anyone who is interested in learning more about mental health, about self-care and resilience for themselves and others, and for customers who are passionate about helping others.”
Changing Minds Kent CIC will be delivering three workshops on the dates below (for people aged 18 or over). Want to find out more or book your space? Please email management@changingmindskent.co.uk .
