Moving our repairs and maintenance service in-house
We are delighted to announce that with effect from 1 February 2021, Golding Homes took over the day-to-day management of our Repairs & Maintenance service Golding Services from contractors Mears.
Creating our own in-house service provider is part of our Corporate Strategy and this move represents the first stage in that process. In spring, we will be transferring all Staff and Operatives from Golding Services into Golding Homes to create a fully integrated Repairs & Maintenance function.
Director of Operations, Annemarie Roberts, said: ‘We are delighted that the day-to-day management of our repairs and maintenance service to our customers is now under one roof. This decision will help us strengthen the focus on delivering a consistent, improved standard of service to customers we are committed to through our new vision of outstanding services, great homes, proud communities.
What will this new approach mean for the service and our customers going forward?
- Customer expectation and our service delivery standards will be aligned as we work together as ‘One Team’
- The Customer journey starts and ends under the same roof
- Whenever possible, repairs will be completed on the first visit. We will aim send the right person, with the right skills to turns up at the right time to complete your repair first time.
- Valuable repairs data will be used to inform our future planned works programmes with a view of reducing the need for responsive repairs
