Noise Nuisance
Noise nuisance can be unbearable if you're having to live with it every day. Some noises can’t be helped, and we ask that you're tolerant and considerate with this. We don't consider day to day living noise to be antisocial behaviour. Try speaking with your neighbour, they may not realise you can hear them. No house or flat is totally soundproof and you should expect to hear some noise. Be mindful of the noise you are making too and the impact it can have on your neighbours.
Customers can initially report noise using recordings, diary sheets or descriptive content. We’ll investigate reports of noise to identify whether a noise report should be handled under our anti-social behaviour policy or our neighbourhood management policy.
If you feel the noise nuisance is persistent*, you’ve tried to speak to your neighbour and it’s continuing. You can report it to us in the following ways:
Email – help@goldinghomes.org.uk
Telephone – 0300 777 2600 (free from most landlines and mobiles)
Post – Golding Homes, County Gate One, Staceys Street, Maidstone ME14 1ST
*Persistent noise nuisance means the noise lasts for continuous periods of over 30 minutes a day, for at least five days within one week. Or if the noise nuisance is continuous in unsociable hours, after 11pm and before 7am.
