Every Vote Counts
With the snap General Election this month, the Support Services team has been busy talking to our customers about how they prefer to make their vote. Many of our residents miss the opportunity to vote because they cannot manage to get to Polling Stations due to mobility issues. So in the run up to the Election, the team has been making our residents aware of the opportunity to make a postal vote and how to complete a quick and easy application. Of the 80 people that said they would have difficulty making their way to their Polling Stations, 52 registered for a postal vote.
Yesterday we joined forces with Age UK to provide transport for those customers who wanted to vote in person.
