Golding confirm Interim CEO will extend stay
Golding Homes have confirmed that Interim Chief Executive Sue Chalkley, will be extending her stay for an additional twelve months, meaning she will head up the Kent-based landlord through to September 2021.
“We are delighted to confirm Sue will be staying with us,” says Chair of Golding Homes, Chris Cheeseman. “Her blend of experience and strong leadership is helping us to embed a new direction for Golding which aims to make us the landlord of choice for mid Kent and the Maidstone community.”
Sue joined Golding Homes in March with a firm focus on continuing the work done to prioritise and keep residents safe following a regulatory breach in February. She has led the 8000 home local housing association in launching a new corporate plan, Strengthening our Foundations last month which focuses on putting health and safety first, excellent customer service and building quality homes and communities.”

Sue brings a wealth of experience from a variety of housing roles, most recently in the role of Chief Executive for 11 years at Hastoe Housing Group.
Sue is passionate about social housing, starting out in the sector as a Housing Trainee in the London Borough of Bromley. She has worked in social housing all her life and brings strong housing management, regeneration and development experience. She has worked in urban and rural settings with both residents and leaseholders. She was also awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2013 for service to tenants and housing.
