Golding Homes scoops Design Award for Wallis Fields Scheme

Kent Design Award Dec 2016

Golding Homes scooped an award for its Wallis Fields Regeneration Scheme in Park Wood, under the category Residential Major, at the recent Kent Design and Developments Awards ceremony held at County Hall, Maidstone.

The awards, which are jointly organised and sponsored by DHA Planning, Kent County Council, and PR and marketing agency Maxim, reward and celebrate the best new buildings and developments across Kent over the last two years.  The Wallis Fields scheme was amongst twenty-three projects across the county that were shortlisted in the awards.

During the evening, eight bespoke awards, specially designed and created by local glass artist, Annie Ross were presented to the winners in each of the categories.

After receiving the award, Chris Blundell, Golding Homes’ Director of Development and Commercial Services said: “We are really honoured to win this award.  The standard of the entries this year was really impressive, so we were delighted that the Wallis Fields scheme was recognised at the awards.  The new homes and retail centre have created a place of great design quality, and a vibrant new community that residents tell us they are proud to call home, and that is surely the real test of effective regeneration.”

We are particularly grateful to our partners in the development of this major scheme including PCKO Architects, Calfordseaden LLP, Bouygues, Gary Gabriel Associates and Mark Hanton Studios.”

The Wallis Fields Scheme was also shortlisted in Inside Housing’s Top 60 Development Awards 2016, in the ‘Regeneration of the Year’ category.
