Golding secures over £3m from Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund Wave 3

Golding Homes (Golding) has been successful in securing a provisional allocation of £3,063,561 of SHF3 funds towards energy saving upgrades in 260 customers’ homes. This amount, together with additional investment from Golding, means a total investment of around £6.6m, over three years. The funding will go towards energy efficiency measures like loft and wall insulation and ventilation. The money will also support the start of a trial to convert gas heating to air source heat pumps that’ll inform Goldings low carbon heating strategy.
Tom Casey, Director of Development and Strategic Asset Management at Golding said: “We’re thrilled to secure this funding to improve the energy efficiency of 260 of our homes. This latest funding will help boost our work to future-proof our homes and make them warmer, more energy efficient and cheaper to run; improvements to help customers save money and make a lasting difference to their lives.”
This follows Golding’s successful £1.4m Wave 2 award in March 2023, which saw 133 homes fitted with improved insulation and low carbon heating and their work toward the ambition to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
