Kent Housing Group's Excellence Awards
Have you come across an example of great service from our housing team? Perhaps you want to tell the world about an unsung community hero in your neighbourhood or a partnership that is making a difference locally? Then this is your chance.
We are encouraging people to put forward nominations for Kent Housing Group’s Excellence Awards, an annual celebration of all that is best in housing, social care and partnerships across Kent and Medway.
The KHG Excellence Awards highlight the outstanding work of people and organisations across 11 categories. They include ‘Unsung community hero/neighbour of the year’ as well as individual and team awards, so this could be your chance to say “thank you” to someone special.
Now in their tenth year, the awards are recognised as an important way of sharing good practice as well as rewarding individual achievements. Anyone can put forward nominations, including members of the public.
“The awards ceremony is essentially a celebration of all the good things that have been done over the year in support of the people who live or work in our local communities,” explained KHG Partnership Manager Rebecca Smith.
“As well as housing, there are categories relating to health and social care and to partnerships. In short, the awards pay tribute to those who are helping our communities to thrive,” Rebecca added.
The nomination process, which closes at noon on 30 August, is online and relatively simple. Nominations can be made using video or other formats as well as in writing.
The 2019 winners will be announced at the Hilton Hotel in Maidstone on 30 October.
Everyone shortlisted will be invited, and thanks to generous sponsorship from Locate in Kent, Capsticks Solicitors LLP, DHA Planning, Engie Regeneration Ltd, Paramount Independent Property Services and Rentplus UK, the event will be free to attend.
