KM Literacy Awards are open

The Kent Messenger Literacy Awards are now open, with nominations being accepted from primary and secondary schools in Kent, Medway and Bexley. As a major sponsor of the awards we were delighted to attend the official launch this week at Hempstead House, Sittingbourne.
This countywide reading initiative encourages nominations from schools, parents or teachers that have been delivering excellent literacy projects within Kent schools. Reading, writing, listening and speaking are fundamental skills that children should be learning and schools are finding new ways to inspire children to embrace these skills. These awards are about showcasing the success stories but also motivating and inspiring other schools to try similar initiatives or events.
The closing date for nominations is midday 1 May. If you are interested in nominating or require more information visit the KM Charity Team's website. The official Awards Ceremony will take place in June at Hempstead House.
