OPAL (Older People, Active Live)
In August we launched a new enhanced housing management service for our customers living in our sheltered accommodation.
OPAL (Older People, Active Lives) will support residents who need additional assistance to help them to continue to live independently in their own homes and maintain their tenancy.
OPAL Advisors will replace the current Support Services Coordinators and will be able to offer you advice on how to report a repair and keeping your home to a reasonable standard, how to pay your rent and your rights under your tenancy agreement. They will also keep you safe by carrying out regular health and safety checks of the communal areas in your scheme and annual tests of your Golding Lifeline equipment. If you are struggling with your benefits, then the OPAL Advisors will be able to let you know about other agencies that can help you.
