Support for Ukraine
We all want to do our bit to help people in the Ukraine and we know many of you want to help and have been contacting us to ask how you can support Ukrainians forced to leave their country because of the war.
Pledging to improve our sustainability this Earth Day
We’re committed to making Golding greener and reducing our environmental impact.
Earlier this year we received a SHIFT silver award, the sustainability standard for the housing sector which assesses the environmental footprint of an organisation. We’re aiming to achieve SHIFT gold by March 2024 and on today, on Earth Day, we’re highlighting the pledges from our Sustainability Strategy that’ll help us achieve this.
Over £5,000 raised for local homelessness charity
Golding Homes has raised an impressive £5,061 for Kent’s leading homelessness charity, Porchlight.
Fundraising efforts included staff quizzes, raffles, a ‘go purple for Porchlight’ day where colleagues wore purple to work, donations via a Just Giving page, a dragon boat race and one colleague even participating in the London Marathon.

Empowering customers through digital skills
Six customers from our Opal schemes (older peoples housing) recently enjoyed a six-week digital skills course, led by Chito Nwulu from We Are Digital, a social impact company that specialises in empowering people with access and training skills in all things digital.
Golding Homes awarded top governance grading
The Regulator for Social Housing confirmed today that Golding Homes governance rating has been upgraded from G2 to G1.

Chief Executive and local MP meet at Shepway regeneration site
The new Chief Executive of Golding Homes, Steph Goad, and Helen Whately, MP for Faversham and Mid Kent, have visited the location of the housing association’s most ambitious regeneration scheme.
Moving out
If you’re moving out, it’s important to leave your home clean and tidy, and make sure no personal belongings are left behind. This helps to ensure our homes are not empty for longer than they need to be and we can re-let the property quickly to another customer.
