RAAC - keeping your safety our top priority
Update
14 November 2023
Your safety remains our top priority, so we’re pleased to confirm that our specialists have now completed their work investigating Reinforced Autoclaved Reinforced Concrete, known as RAAC. They’ve confirmed to us there is no RAAC present in our homes or wider portfolio of housing stock.
This follows completion by our appointed specialists of a desktop review of properties built between 1950 and 1993 and subsequent investigation and inspection of over 1800 properties.
Our contractors have followed the Methodology from the Institute of Structural Engineers publication ““Reinforced Autoclaved Reinforced Concrete (RAAC) Panels Investigation and Assessment” published in February 2022. The identification procedure has generally followed the Department of Education guidance for RAAC published in August 2023.
I hope this reassures you that we’re doing everything possible to ensure our homes are safe. Thank you for your patience while this important check has been completed.

We know some customers have seen the recent news on use of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) in schools, and may have some questions about their building.
Your safety remains our top priority and we carry out home surveys and building inspections to make sure we have accurate records of all our homes.
We’re already responding and have started work alongside structural engineers to review the existing data on our buildings for the possible use of RAAC materials.
We ask for your patience while we review this information, if we need to complete further surveys or any work, we'll contact customers directly.
If you’ve any immediate concerns about your building, please contact our dedicated Building Safety Team by email: building.safety@goldinghomes.org.uk or phone 0300 777 2600.
