Rob Walsh Apprentice

From Gas Apprentice to fully qualified Gas Engineer, Robert Walsh tells us what he has enjoyed about his three year Apprenticeship with Golding Services.

After finishing school Robert was not sure which career path he wanted to take and tried a variety of jobs before landing his Apprenticeship to train to become a Gas Engineer.

We asked Rob what he liked most about being an Apprentice. “My favourite part of this role is being able to work alongside other tradesmen and learning the ‘tricks of the trade’, as well as building relationships with our residents.

Paul Heath, Partnering Manager for Mitie said “Having apprentices within the organisation brings great benefits. Apprentices always show a positive approach which is great for a working environment. We also feel it encourages home grown talent. Recruitment and retention can often be difficult in the maintenance sector. This way we can create qualified tradesmen to support the delivery of service.”
