Residents Resource Centre & Shepway Office
Over the last year we have reviewed our customer service and the ways we communicate with our residents, seeking to offer a range of options suitable for everyone.
We know from our customer surveys that some people prefer to be contacted by phone or letter. However, increasingly some residents like us to provide quicker and more flexible contact options such as text messages, through our website, and email. We are currently working on a new customer web portal and mobile phone app, which will allow you to request a repair, check your rent account, make payments, and much more at any time of the day, not just in office hours.
As part of our review, we also looked at the use of our satellite office and Residents Resource Centre in Shepway, taking note of the amount of customer visits and customer enquiries. Unfortunately we have found that running separate premises is no longer cost effective due to the low number of customer contacts. With the approval of our Board, we have therefore decided to close the area office and resource centre, and transfer staff and functions to our Head Office in Allington. We are working with community partners to find alternative locations for the activities that currently use the Resource Centre.
We have communicated with partners and service providers about the closure, and advise that the office and resource centre will close on Friday 29 April at 4.30pm.
