The Big Debate

CIH Round Table Peter Stringer Nov 11

Tackling the national housing crisis was the key topic for debate at a special event hosted by Golding Homes this week.

The event provided an opportunity for key people from housing associations and local authorities across the south east, to come together to develop solutions to meet local housing need.

Co-chaired by Terrie Afalat chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Housing and Anne Chapman, Head of New Business and Commercial Services at Golding Homes, the roundtable discussions focused on the need for joint working between housing providers, local authorities and other agencies.

Peter Stringer, chief executive for Golding Homes said:  “Now more than ever, we need to focus on what we can do as a sector to address our national housing crisis, and we were delighted to host this important event on behalf of the Chartered Institute of Housing.  It is only by nurturing profitable relationships with our partners and other organisations that we will be able to go some way to meeting the overwhelming need to build more affordable homes.”

The roundtable discussion was one of a series of events that are being organised by the CIH across the country.
