The Monday Club
Many people enjoy the peace and quiet of living in a village but for children and young people village life can be a little boring, especially during the school holidays if there is little or no access to activities close by.
Earlier this year, Anna Fisk, the Early Help Worker from the Children’s Centre decided to take action and bridge the gap. Working in partnership with youth work staff, Anna successfully applied for a Golding Vision Community Chest Grant Fund in January 2016. With the £1,000 grant she set up the Monday Club, offering free after school provision for local children.
