We win Kent Housing Group Excellence Award

Golding Homes was delighted to win an Excellence Award in the Excellent Partnership category for our Golding Vision Disability Eddie project at the Kent Housing Group (KHG) Awards 2017, held on Wednesday 13 September.
These annual Excellence Awards celebrate the innovation and dedication of colleagues and partners who deliver services or support the communities of Kent and Medway.
Jillie Smithies, Director of Operations, collected the award on behalf of the organisation; "We are delighted that our Disability Eddie project has been recognised across Kent. The innovative project owes its success to partnership working across health, housing and education. I would particularly like to thank our partners Wellbeing People, RBLI and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, who voiced the main character ."
Disability Eddie, funded by our community arm Golding Vision, is the third animation in the series "Eddie and Friends", an interactive, educational resource aimed at 3-5 year olds. The animation has been written and created to help pre-school children understand and normalise disability with the main character Tammi the tortoise being voiced by Baroness Grey-Thompson. The films are fun, educational and interactive, and have been successfully rolled out to pre-schools in Maidstone.
