YMCA Maidstone win YMCA of the Year!
YMCA Maidstone came out on top at the Youth Matters Awards 2016, winning YMCA of the Year award. The award recognises a YMCA that, in the last year, has had a tangible and positive impact on young people and the wider community.
We worked closely with YMCA Maidstone to successfully redevelop the dilapidated Children's Hut in Barfreston Close, Tovil, into a new Sports and Community Centre. This new centre is the outcome of an innovative partnership having been built by Golding Homes and managed by Maidstone YMCA. Golding Homes committed over £1m to the project, and the YMCA have committed nearly £400k to fit out and manage the centre. The centre has been a catalyst to the increasing influence of YMCA Maidstone today, having nurtured innovative partnerships and distinctive services to benefit the people of Maidstone.
