Is the grounds maintenance contractor changing?

Yes. The contract with idverde UK ends on 31 March 2025 so we’ve tendered for a new contract.  A tender is a formal way to procure goods or services.

We’re proposing to appoint Gould Landscaping Limited from 1 April 2025.

We’ve listened to customers’ concerns about how we maintain the outside shared areas and the proposed new contract will see the work managed differently. Our Customer Insight Group has been involved in the review of the grounds maintenance specification and tenders, with a customer sitting on the selection panel.

There’ll be separate teams doing different types of work, for example there’ll be a team who cuts the grass and a separate team who maintains shrubs, hedges, beds and borders for us. There’ll also be more people doing the work than under the existing contract with idverde UK. The proposed new contractor will also employ seasonal workers, who’ll work longer days during the summer months in line with the increased daylight hours. This’ll help to make sure work’s completed at the right time and means you’ll see the contractor on site more frequently.
