Fire action notices

There are fire action notices at every exit in our blocks. These give the correct information about what to do if there’s a fire in your flat or elsewhere in the block. Please check signage in your building or your dedicated building page to make sure you know what to do in an emergency.

Most of our tall buildings which are over five storeys, follow current government guidance to stay put, unless there's a fire in your flat, or your flat’s being affected by fire or smoke. Your flat front door will give at least 30 minutes protection from the spread of flames and smoke, which means you’re safer in your flat if there’s a fire elsewhere.

Please make sure you update us if who’s living in your home changes or if there are changes in circumstances that’d affect leaving the block in an emergency. Other actions you can take to help us keep you safe include checking your fire alarms weekly, checking your front door for any damage and always keeping the communal areas clear.
