New domestic abuse programme for men

Domestic Violence Argument

A new domestic abuse programme has been launched in Kent, designed to support men who want to change their behaviour. The Community Domestic Abuse Programme (CDAP) helps to challenge abusive behaviour and shows how it can affect relationships with partners, ex-partners, and children.

Based on the Duluth Programme, it is designed to help men who feel their behaviour towards their partner has been, or is still, abusive.

This programme will provide support to make the changes needed to develop respectful, non-abusive relationships to ensure safety around partners and any children.

Men can self refer by visiting the Kent CDAP website and will see first-hand how the programme can make a difference to them and their family.  There are three programmes currenly running, virtually or by phone, in West Kent, Medway & Swale, and Folkestone.
